Live recordings and Mia Zapata solo performances

According to Sub Pop, the selection includes 1992 KDVS radio performances, Seattle Off Ramp audio and Mia Zapata’s 1993 solo recordings at San Francisco’s Albion Room. Covers draw on Bessie Smith, Iggy & the Stooges and James Taylor. The band selected the material from its archives.

The Gits formed in Ohio in 1986 and moved to Seattle in 1989. This release offers another documented route into the band’s work and Zapata’s voice. It is an archival release announcement; Punk Rock Press is not presenting it as a firsthand review.
