Okay, so they’re not a punk band. But Oasis has always had that same no-apologies swagger and working-class bite that makes punk great—and their reunion is something worth talking about.
After years of speculation, sibling feuds, and “will they, won’t they” rumors, Oasis is officially back together, and I just watched their first concert back on YouTube. Let me tell you—they sounded amazing. Tight, loud, and full of the same defiance that made them one of the most important bands of the ’90s.
The setlist was a dream. Classics like “Live Forever,” “Cigarettes & Alcohol,” “Supersonic,” and of course “Don’t Look Back in Anger” hit just as hard today as they did 30 years ago. And Liam’s voice? Rough around the edges in the best way possible—gravelly, powerful, and full of that signature snarl. Noel’s guitar work felt even more refined, but still raw and anthemic.
This reunion feels like more than just nostalgia. Oasis never needed elaborate stage setups or auto-tuned vocals. They just show up, plug in, and let the songs do the heavy lifting. And those songs still matter.
Whether you were a die-hard in ’94 or you’re just now diving into their discography, this tour is a reminder: Oasis is one of the greatest bands of our time. Their music shaped a generation—and hearing it live again, even through a screen, gave me chills.
I know Punk Rock Press is usually focused on the underground and the loud, but this moment feels worth the spotlight. Punk is about honesty, passion, and attitude—and Oasis has always delivered on all three.
Oasis is back. The world feels just a little louder again.
